Harrisburg Parade Scholarship winner Jennifer March-C.I.A. for a Day

How did you celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day?  For some students in central Pa. getting to march in the Harrisburg Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and receiving scholarships from the parade association made it a great” Top o the mornin’!”

Every year the Harrisburg Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Association and the Irish Heritage Society sponsors scholarships for outstanding and/or needy students to help offset the cost of their first year in college or tech school.  Clan Irwin Association PA has members on both boards, and thanks to guidance and sponsorship from CIA members, out of 9 scholarships awarded, three were sponsored by C.I.A. PA.

Jennifer March accepted a HSPDPA scholarship, and asked if she could represent the CIA in the parade. Her wish was granted and she sported one of the honor guard berets in the parade. She was quite proud of being Clan Irwin for a day.

Other winners, Joshua Nepper and David Newcomer were presented scholarships from the Irish Heritage Association on March 17.
